I first shot a couple of portraits of this man. He had set up his sewing machine in the outside in the shade, the most comfortable place in the hot afternoon. Then I noticed the big Jesus poster in the dark, inside the shop, and took a few more. Christian religion is everywhere in Zambia. One of the things I learned while I was in Zambia was that religion is an integral part of life, culture and society there. In the west mainstream religion is becoming less relevant, but in Africa it is still vibrant. I may not agree with all their teaching and preaching, but there is no denying its importance there.
