Another one from my recent trip to London to see the Ansel Adams exhibition in the National Maritime Museum. Skies, like trees, are an ever lasting source of inspiration. Always changing and often providing good subjects for photography. Trees and skies give me the opportunity to indulge in an activity that is an important part of my photography and one that I enjoy very much: composing. Often, trees and skies allow the photographer to exclude other elements that could compete for the viewer’s attention. Simplifying the image through careful composition is one of my aims.
Here, we have a great view from the Royal Observatory hill. I also like the contrast and link between the National Maritime Museum and Canary Wharf: old and new, but both very much to do with trade.
