After a leisurely breakfast we ventured out for a drive to Durness. There were some sunny periods! Had a stroll on the sandy beach and up to the golf course. No way to play that in this wind. Almost on the beach was this very Scottish looking house, built in the eighteenth century.
Also went to the artists village near Balnakeil where we had some artisan chocolates and bought a couple of hand produced cards. Balnakeil’s claim to fame is that John Lennon came on holiday here a few times when he was a boy, staying with his aunt. We were wondering how he got here, to this very remote part of the country.
