The colours are a bit late this year and the storm last week removed a lot of leaves from the trees already. All in all it did not look very promising. On Sunday we had a short walk in Healey Dell, a small nature reserve very near to where we live. After the recent weather there was a lot of water coming down the river. The fallen trees are gradually, over a few years now, disintegrating and becoming less of a distraction in this view of the waterfall in Healey Dell. The bright sunlight made things very contrasty, but it also lit up the leaves that had already fallen on the rockface by the side of the path.
